Qualifications
- Proficient in programming in C, C++, and Python.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, a related technical subject, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with the Linux kernel, particularly drivers and the network stack.
- Working knowledge of the transport stack, namely RDMA (RoCEv2).
- Hands-on experience debugging large-scale systems.
- Before becoming eligible for transfer to another role, team, or location, the successful candidate must remain in the same team in India for at least 24 months.
Preferred Qualifications
- Contributions to open-source networking projects.
- Knowledge of kernel programming or eBPF.
- Familiarity with data center infrastructure and SDN
- Experience with Qemu and the FPGA emulation environment is a bonus.
Role Responsibilities
- Create and put into use drivers (and/or firmware) for ethernet adapter functions on networks, RDMA transport stacks, and host/accelerator control functions.
- Build tests and contribute to the development of an integrated CI/CD pipeline for software delivery.
- Start up the stack in simulation and emulation environments.
- Hardware setup and testing in a scaled environment.
- Develop optimized solutions for high throughput and low latency communications.
- Work on protocols like TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, and IPv6 to improve Meta’s infrastructure performance.
- Collaborate with hardware teams, system engineers, and security teams to ensure seamless deployment of networking solutions.
- Monitor network performance and debug issues in production environments.
- Build internal tools to automate and scale deployment and testing.
